Ashford Borough Council Transforms Antisocial Behaviour Case Management

Insights from the Ashford Borough Council Neighbourhood Services Team – Watch the interview!

Ashford Borough Council recently implemented MRI Safer Communities to provide a case management system that the Council was previously lacking.

This new solution has improved the Council’s approach to handling antisocial behaviour (ASB) by enabling better decision-making and extracting valuable data for identifying hotspots. The system supports a more performance-driven approach, allowing proactive monitoring, auditing, and target setting, particularly in ASB and domestic abuse cases.

With increasing regulatory expectations for data collection, profiling, and hate crime recording, MRI Safer Communities allows efficient capturing of this information.

Users can upload emails, photos, videos, and sound recordings, and the system includes letter templates for faster correspondence with victims and accused individuals. Officers find it easier to track cases, keeping all notes and contacts in one place rather than searching through scattered records.

Previously, complaints about ASB handling included delays and lack of communication. Safer Communities has addressed these issues with a built-in workflow management system, ensuring timely responses and better case tracking. The system guides officers through processes, providing pre-built notices, step-by-step instructions, and deadlines,

Overall, the system has streamlined ASB handling, enhanced staff efficiency and improved customer satisfaction – significantly reducing case-management complaints by 95%.
