Employee management
Sandvine – Intelligent Broadband Networks needed an efficient cloud-based employee and visitor management system, to replace their paper sign-in sheet managed by their receptionist.
MRI OnLocation is the simplest application that we use here at Sandvine.

Key challenges
Sandvine were looking for an employee management solution to replace their paper-based system. They also needed to know exactly who was on-site in real time, print identification badges and run movement statistics.
Sandvine needed an employee management system that would:
- replace their paper visitor sign-in sheet
- take the sign-in responsibilities away from their receptionist
- ensure staff and visitors could easily sign-in and out of site
- manage contractors and visitors on-site, and make sure they could be properly inducted
- let multiple people sign-in and out at the same time
- be run in the cloud, so there was no need for System Administrators or in-house servers
- allow them to run reports on people movements at their sites

The MRI OnLocation Solution
Sandvine chose to implement MRI OnLocation as their employee, contractor, visitor and evacuation management system after being made aware of the product by Identicard.
MRI OnLocation was easily and effectively implemented, without a big outlay for equipment and programming. Sandvine now have a Window’s surface and a tiny printer at their reception. This system is cost effective, reliable and has a small footprint.
MRI OnLocation has improved security, reduced the burden on our reception and is professional looking.

Sandvine uses their MRI OnLocation software to:
- let staff scan in and out of site using their barcoded ID cards at a MRI OnLocation kiosk, or by using OnLocation mobile app
- sign multiple people in and out of their site at the same time
- issue their visitors with a barcoded tag and red lanyard so they are easily identified, using MRI OnLocation’s Visitor Pass
- make sure any contractors and visitors on-site have been properly inducted using MRI OnLocation’s Induction Management.
